WHICH WOOD IS RIGHT FOR ME?

We have a clear recommendation: in our experience, personal taste is the only important parameter for a long-term positive product relationship, and thus the only question to answer is:
Which wood do you like best? Quite personally and quite deep inside?
(Falling in love is explicitly allowed).

From a purely technical point of view, all wood species in our range are suitable as cutting boards and differ only in the finest nuances of density & hardness - apart from bamboo, which is characterized by far above-average hardness and resistance, but of course does not look as lively as the other woods.

Our boards always come with a basic set of containers.
So there are always enough containers at hand and you can start cooking easily right away. This way, you quickly have your first flow experience working with the board - and that's important, because only with enough containers does it become easy to work with the board. Positive side effect: The container system also finds its way into everyday kitchen life from the very first day and is usually indispensable after the first few days. And soon you will notice that a few additional containers - in other materials or sizes - might not be so bad.

Das Kleingedruckte

1 – Qualifizierte Produkte: BASIC, BASIC-L & MONO

2 – Das Testpaketumfasst 2 zusätzliche Behälter, die zum Testen verwendet werden können.
Im Fall einer Rücksendung werden diese nicht erstattet und verbleiben beim Kunden.

3 – Das komplette mehrteilige Behälterset (B5 & B6), welches standardmäßig mitbestellt wird, darf NICHT zum Testen verwendet werden.
Benutzte Behältersets sind von Rücknahme und Erstattung ausgeschlossen.

4 – Zubehör wie Konsole, Schnittstellen oder Frankfurter Block sind ebenfalls vom Testangebot ausgeschlossen.

5 – Das Brett soll unter realen Bedingungen getestet werden.
Oberflächliche, erwartbare Gebrauchsspuren (Schnittspuren, raue Oberfläche usw.) sind hierbei ausdrücklich zulässig.

6 – Ausgeschlossen sind SCHWERE Gebrauchsspuren sowie Beschädigungen, die auf eine unsachgemäße Handhabung zurückzuführen sind und die eine Reparatur des Brettes unmöglich machen.

Hierzu zählen unter anderem:

  • Tiefe Sägeschnitte, z.B. durch Brotmesser mit geriffelter Klinge

  • Brandspuren und verkohlte Stellen, z.B. hervorgerufen durch heiße Töpfe und Pfannen, die auf dem Brett abgestellt werden

  • Starke Verfärbungen, z.B. hervorgerufen durch rote Beete oder Kurkuma

  • Schäden am Holz, z.B. hervorgerufen durch Schnitzelhammer oder Stürze.

As a result, the BASIC L is around 12 cm wider, with the same depth, and the increased space is designed for larger quantities of food - ideal for 3-6 people in the everyday kitchen, and at events, with a bit of planning, it is possible to cook for up to 12 people in several courses.

Reduced to the absolute essentials, don't be fooled by the size of the Basic-L, especially in comparison to our very large boards: the containers attached at the front almost double the available work surface and structure it efficiently - the Basic-L feels significantly larger in everyday use than comparable or even larger boards, as waste & cuttings disappear immediately from the work surface, creating additional space for working and storage on the cutting board itself.
With a total weight of just around 5kg, it is easy to carry and use almost anywhere in the home - e.g. at the living room table with the children or in the garden for a barbecue.

The silicone rings integrated on the underside ensure good stability, the juice groove that opens to the front looks striking and catches excess liquids.
